Phone Numbers: All contact information comes directly from property owners. We don't verify phone numbers yet, so be extra careful when calling and never share OTPs or personal IDs.

External Links: Property owners can add links to other platforms. We don't check these links, so use your judgment and be cautious about clicking them or downloading anything.

Essential Safety Tips for Filipino Renters

Before Making Contact

  • • Check if listing photos look professional or potentially stolen
  • • Be suspicious of prices significantly below market rate
  • • Look for listings with detailed, specific information

When Communicating

  • • Keep initial conversations on our platform when possible
  • • Ask for proof of ownership (timestamped photos work well)
  • • Request to see recent utility bills or property documents
  • • Video calls can help verify both the person and property

Before Meeting in Person

  • • Meet in a public place first, then view the property together
  • • Bring a friend or family member when possible
  • • Let someone know where you're going and when you'll return
  • • Trust your instincts - if something feels wrong, it probably is

Payment Safety

  • • Never pay cash deposits to "hold" a property you haven't seen
  • • Use bank transfers or other traceable payment methods

  • • Don't pay more than one month's rent upfront without a proper lease
